Bronson Finds Gold in Spain!

 

RTÉ New Comedy Awards, hosted by Jason Byrnebattleoftheaxe.com is currently celebrating the success of two of its most popular players, Karl Spain and James Goldsbury, jont winners of the RTÉ New Comedy Awards.

 

Ed Byrne (pic inset) hosted the final at Vicar St. on September 26th, and the final was recorded by RTÉ for screening later this Autumn. Karl Spain recently performed his award winning stand up routine on RTÉ's Late Late show.

 

Well done to them both, and keep watching the show for upcoming performances from James and Karl.

 

The show also had a huge treat recently when top Canadian TV presenter/comedian Rick Bronson popped in and thrilled the audience with a classic 20 minute stand-up stint. He was taking time out during the filming of his travel programme on Dublin City.

 

Artiste's who have performed at the battleoftheaxe.com currently experiencing career development include Peter Fox (Michael Barrymore appearance), Pat Mc Donald (Don't Feed the Gondolas), Alex Lyons (Comedian/BBC scriptwriting), and singer/songwriter Paddy Casey.

 

New and experienced acts continue to use the battleoftheaxe.com as their launching pad on their climb up the stage ladder. Performers and MC's to be seen at the show over the coming months include Eddie Naessans, Jeff Keogh, Simon O'Leary, James Goldsbury, Matt Saddler, Ken Murphy, Dave Ellison and Dan Gallagher.
